Accra Hearts of Oak SC has secured a GH¢4m cash from Guarantee Trust (GT) Bank to begin the Pobiman project.
Indications are that the money has been handed to the club with the project set to commence soon.
Last Friday, Hearts announced that the project was set to begin by signing an agreement with local contractor K.A Estate Limited to commence work at the venue.
After the official announcement, the club indicated that the local contractors will team up with Turkish contractor Prefabex Yapi Teknolojileri San Ve tic Limited, who has been mandated to construct the state-of-the-art Phobia Academy.
The local contractors are expected to complete the sub-structural work within three months, while the Turkish will use another four months to complete the entire project.
Officials of Hearts of Oak on Saturday were at the venue to hand over the site to the local contractors for work to begin.
Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson stated that the project is expected to be completed in six months.
When completed, the Pobiman project will have multiple playing fields, accommodation for players, technical team and other management staff, swimming pool and others.
