Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu
Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu, head of the family of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has denied any involvement in the sharing of the musician’s properties, saying the matter is strictly for the lawyers and the immediate family.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Kasiebo is Tasty, Mr Kofi Owusu said he is not managing Daddy Lumba’s estate and has not received any court documents regarding the distribution of the late artiste’s assets.
His comments follow reports that a search at the High Court in Accra showed no will filed by Daddy Lumba at the Probate and Administration Division.
In a response dated January 19, 2026, the court allegedly indicated that no Will belonging to Charles Kwadwo Fosuh was found in its records.
However, Abusuapanyin Owusu, also known as Abuasuapanyin TuPac, said the sharing of properties has nothing to do with him.
“Daddy Lumba’s body belongs to the family, but the sharing of his properties has nothing to do with me. That is the work of the lawyers,” he stated.
He explained that the family’s main responsibility was to ensure a proper and peaceful burial for the late musician, which has now been completed.
“All the things he asked us to do, including covering his face with a veil, we did them. His children and lawyers can confirm that,” he said.
According to him, discussions on inheritance can only take place when all parties, including Daddy Lumba’s children and spouse, come together, but that process has not started.
“I am not the one to call people to share properties. Nobody has contacted me, and I don’t even know when that will happen,” he added.
Abusuapanyin Owusu said he cannot confirm whether Daddy Lumba left a will, stressing again that he has no role in distributing the late musician’s estate.
“My priority was peace and giving my nephew a dignified burial. I have done that,” he concluded.
