I Will Rate Mahama’s Performance 2/10 – Adu Safowaah

GHANAIAN ACTRESS and event organiser, Regina Adu Safowaah, has stated that she’s not impressed with the current state of governance under President John Dramani Mahama.

Adu Safowaah, in an interview, stated that comparing former President Nana Akufo-Addo’s first eight months in office to the current John Mahama’s administration, there is more room for improvement, hence she will score the latter 2/10.

“I’m not going to lie, on a scale of 1 to 10 l will score him 2/10 for now. I have not seen anything he’s doing, probably have not paid much attention to it. But honestly, l have not heard anything extreme he has done that has received massive applause as compared to Nana Akufo-Addo’s Free Senior High School (FSHS) programme. You will mostly hear the current government has reduced the dollar sale to some extent but nothing huge,” she said.

Many have argued that former President Akufo-Addo will forever be remembered for his bold policies which include the implementation of the Free SHS policy, increasing access to secondary education, as well as the launch of Planting for Food and Jobs initiative to boost agricultural productivity and food security among others.

On the other hand, President Mahama, following his swearing-in, has faced criticism, particularly after the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo from office.
