IGP Reshuffles Officers

Mr David Asante Apeatu

The Inspector General Of Police, Mr David Asante Apeatu has transferred 39 senior police officers two days after the director general in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department, COP Bright Oduro was asked to proceed on leave.

This is Mr Apeatu‘s sixth reshuffle in less than 10 months in office as IGP.

Some of the officers affected in the latest reshuffle are DCOP Samuel Monney, Director Services Workshop /Accra. He is now the Director, Financial Institutions/Guard and Diplomatic Protection Directorate, Headquarters Accra.

DCOP K Dwumfour Berchie, Deputy Commandant of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College moves to be the Director Services / Workshop.

ACP Joseph Antwi Gyawu in charge of Adenta – Abokobi Division moves to Nkwawie Division in the Ashanti Region while DCOP Afful Boakye –Yiadom of Obuasi also moves to Dormaa Division in the Brong Ahafo Region.

ACP Oscar Kofi Amevenku, Directing Staff of Ghana Police Command and Staff College moves to head the Deputy Commandant position of the College while ACP Osman Abdul-Razak of National Headquarters, Accra moves to Adentan – Abokobi division.

Chief Superintendent Joseph Obeng of Amasaman Division is moving to Obuasi Division, Chief Superintendent Isaac Asante of Enchil Division is moving to Airport as Divisional Commander while Superintendent John Ferguson Dzineku of Amasaman District also moves to Nkoranza Division in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Superintendent George Andrew Kuma of Adjin Kotoku is moving to Ada in the Tema Region while Superintendent Ibrahim Sulley of Konongo District moves to Mampongteng District.

Superintendent Daniel Oppong Asirifi of Regional Visibility in the Brong Ahafo Region is moving to Ofoase District while Superintendent Julius Kuseh Kpebessan in charge of Mampongteng District moves to Konongo District.

Superintendent John Atsu Dzineku of Prestea District moves to National Patrols Department, Headquarters Accra, while Superintendent Frederick K A Mensah of Sefwi MTTU moves to Tanoso District in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Superintendent Michael Ofosu Anim of Ofoase District is moving to Adjin Kotoku in Accra while Superintendent Maxwell Antwi, Staff Officer, Eastern Region moves to Amasaman District.

Superintendent(Supt) Matthew Asante of Peki District moves to Atwima Foase District while Supt Alfred Kuda of Akim Swedru District moves to CID Headquarters.

Supt Stephen Adjei Nimoh of Tanoso District in the Brong Ahafo Region is moving to Prestea District while Supt Agnes Dzandu in charge of Airport Division moves to Odorkor as Divisional Crime Officer and to Supervise Odorkor District Crime as well.

Supt Samuel Naa Musa, of Kasoa Divisional Crime is moving to Accra Central Division as Crime Officer while Supt Appiah Kusi, Yendi Divisional Crime Officer moves to be the Northern Regional Crime Officer.

Supt John Yao Anani, Northern Regional Crime Officer moves to Amasaman Division.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kingsley Aboagye, in charge of crime, Accra Central Division moves to Airport Division and to Supervise Legon District Crime as well.

DSP Frederick Lumor Senanu, Adentan – Abokobi Division moves to Domaa as Divisional Crime Officer while DSP Kennedy Adusei, Odorkor Divisional Crime Officer moves to Kasoa as Divisional Crime Officer and would supervise the district as Crime Officer as well.

DSP Michael Happy Addae, Amasaman District Crime Officer moves to Yendi as Divisional Crime Officer while DSP Stephen Akowuah, Crime Officer, Domaa moves to Adentan – Abokobi Division as Crime Officer.

DSP Rueben Anokye Amaniampong, Amanfrom District Crime Officer is to Supervise Kokrobitey District Crime while DSP Favour Fleischer – Ackon, Legon District Crime moves to Sowutoum as Crime Officer.

DSP Augustine Mensah in charge of Atwima Foase District moves to Mankessim District, while DSP John Yeboah of Kwabeng District moves to Kokrobitey District.

ASP Sebastian Maya of Mankessim District moves to Akim Swedru District while ASP George Mills Peprah of Adweso District in the Eastern Region moves to be the Staff Officer of the Region.

ASP Wisdom Boko of Kokrobitey District moves to Kpone as District Crime Officer while ASP Lydia Amoo, CID headquarters moves to Kotobabi as District Crime Officer.
