US-based Ghanaian rap artiste, Jay Ghartey, is out with a mind-blowing music video titled ‘Chop Something’.
The video which was directed by Prince Dovlo, a Ghanaian music video director, was shot on some locations in East Legon and Circle, all in Accra.
‘Chop Something’ music video featured some known personalities in the showbiz scene like Dr Pounds of Hitz FM and one of the best Nigerian movie icons, Hanks Anuku.
‘Chop something’ was produced by young producer, Dugud.
Ever since he dropped his singles like ‘My Love’, ‘No Fronting’ featuring E.L and AJ Omo Alaja, ‘Love You Better’ featuring Juliana, ‘Se Wo Do Me A Bra’, among others, Jay Ghartey has been well-known on the airwaves and TV screens as a great singer.
Born in the United States to a Ghanaian father and a Canadian mother, Jay Ghatey released his first album titled ‘Shining Gold’ in September 2010 in Ghana.
His song ‘My Lady’ was on heavy rotation on the specialised pan-African music station, Channel O.
The music video was directed by Ogee from Phamous People Philms.
On April 4, 2012, Jay was the first Ghanaian artiste to be featured on BET‘s 106 & Park show with his hit ‘Papa’.
He has also collaborated with rapper AJ Nelson and is featured in the latter’s single ‘Faith’. Jay Ghartey has done collaborations with artistes such as Samini, Sarkodie, Kwaw Kesse, Okyeame Kwame, E.L, Stay Jay, B-Nice, among others.
