Management of Joy Industries Limited has thrown unflinching financial support for the forthcoming World title bout between Emmanuel Tagoe and Fernando Sucedo.
To the CEO of Joy Industries, Dr Manfred Takyi, the support forms part of his company’s resolve to support sports, particularly boxing in the country.
He pointed out the country abounds in many sporting talents, especially in the area of boxing, but lack of sponsorship has been its bane, hence the support.
In a press briefing at the offices of Multichoice on Monday, he said, “We are glad to be associated with Baby Jet Promotions, we at Joy Industries believe in empowering the youth to realize their potentials.
“We are committed to supporting sports in Ghana, that is why we have rallied behind various disciplines like soccer and boxing in the past. I am urging other corporate bodies to come on board to make the world title fight an epoch-making one.”
He added “We have injected so much into this bout because it is about Ghana and not Game Boy or Baby Jet Promotions. When we deliver a top notch event, the credit goes to our dear country, Ghana. On the day, Ghana will be the talking point on Super Sports and other platforms. We are expecting a great bout.”
