Kasapreko Company Limited has donated 2,400 bottles of 200ml hand sanitizers to the Ministry of Information (MOI).
The donation of the liquid type sanitizers was to aid the country’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) sensitization campaigns led by the MOI and the Ministry of health.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kasapreko, Richard Adjei, making the presentation, said the company known for the production of spirits decided to go into hand sanitizers in response to the President’s call for local industries to support the COVID-19 fight in the country.
He said Kasapreko had so far produced 200,000 bottles of liquid hand sanitizers to augment the countries stock and help reduce the price hike on the product.
He said the donation was therefore to support the ministry and other agencies that were at the forefront of the COVID-19 educational campaign.
Deputy Minister for Information Pius Eman Hedzide, who was elated at the gesture by Kasapreko, indicated that for a company to pause its production and support the government without being coerced was commendable.
He indicated that the donation would go a long way to support educational activities.
He used the opportunity to call on other companies operating in the country to do likewise and support the government in the viral fight.
The hand sanitizers where donated alongside some packs of Awake Mineral Water and assorted drinks produced by the company.
