KMA Boss Woos Businessmen

SAM PYNE

SAM PYNE, Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi, has appealed to businessmen in the town to contribute their quota towards transforming it into a modern city.

According to Mr Pyne, he could not transform Kumasi in isolation, hence the need for all hands on deck to make this vision a reality.

Speaking on Akoma FM, Mr Pyne noted “I am appealing to the affluent and top businessmen in our great city of Kumasi to quickly come and help so that together, we can collectively develop Kumasi. I cannot do it alone, likewise, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration cannot do it alone, so everyone should contribute to transform our great city.”

He said as the head of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), he would do everything humanly possible to make everyone to contribute towards Kumasi’s growth.

“Plans are in the pipeline to hold a big seminar where all top businessmen in our city as well the leaders of the various political parties, would be in attendance.

“We shall use that great occasion and platform to collectively share ideas and also plan about what we can do together, to help accelerate Kumasi’s growth”, he said.

The MCE, who spoke widely about issues concerning Kumasi, announced that the collection of property rates has now been digitalised to help protect KMAs purse.

“The days when there were reported cases of property rate fees ending in the pockets of some individuals are over with this new technology”, the Kumasi Mayor declared.

Mr Pyne was appointed as the Kumasi Mayor by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, after winning his second term as President.
