Kozie Responds To Emergency

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Adentan Constituency in Accra, Akosua Manu, popularly known as Kozie, has averted what could have passed for a life-threatening situation in the Nii Ashaley Electoral Area of AshaleyBotwe in the Adentan Constituency last Saturday.

It was during a house-to-house campaign she was undertaking the fateful day when a dilapidated high tension pole exhibited imminent signs of collapse.

Repeated calls to the current Member of Parliament (MP) to have the situation addressed had gone unheeded, residents in the neighbourhood had said.

Kozie, upon being informed by an elderly opinion leader in the community and appreciating the imminent danger posed by the tilted live wire carrying pole, promised to deal with it.

True to her word, Kozie promptly contacted the relevant authorities, and in less than 24 hours, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) dispatched engineers to replace the dangerously tilting pole.

The rapid response not only averted a potential disaster but also earned Kozie the admiration and gratitude of the community.

Residents, who had long felt neglected, were astonished by the speed and efficiency of Kozie’s intervention.

For them, this was a clear demonstration of the #KozieCares mantra in action—a leader who listens, acts, and prioritises the well-being of her constituents.

Her constituents have in the last few years acknowledged the remarkable response to their pressing demands, most of them concluding that “she will make a very good MP.”
