Former Asante Kotoko Board Member Alhaji Abu Lamini has demonstrated gross love to the Moslem community in Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Lamini, a constant financial supporter of the Porcupine Warriors donated a brand new Ford E-80 Ambulance Van to the Moslem folks on the occasion of his daughter’s (Mariam) marriage at the Wenchi Central Mosque.
He pointed out that in an interview that “Human lives undoubtedly are precious and as such should be handled with extra care. I believe this will go a long way in ensuring that some deaths are avoided.”
“There have been cases where women in labour particularly lost their lives because there was no ambulance when they were due; I consider such unfortunate incidents as avoidable, hence this gesture. It is my humble donation to the people in the area.”
The Municipal Chief Executive and the aspiring MP of Wenchi, Edward Adjei Kwadjo (NDC) on behalf of the Moslem community expressed thanks to Alhaji Lamini for the support saying “This is indeed a shining example, worthy of emulation, and I believe it will help the community a great deal.”
The Wenchi Municipal Chief Imam graced the event.
