America superstar Lauryn Hill treated a large number of Ghanaian fans to a surpriseĀ emotional performance in Accra on Thursday night.
It was the rapper and singerās second time performing in the West African country since her first in 2014 during the Afrobeats Music Festival.
Fans gathered around her in excitement on Thursday when she performed some of her favourite songs, including the worldwide hit song with Fugees, āKilling Me Softlyā, at the BBnZ Live in Accra.
The fans beautifully sang alongside her toĀ demonstrate their utmost love for her.
After the performance, she also signed autographs, as well as took turns to take photos with fans,Ā some of whomĀ could not hide their feelings for meeting their superstar.
Some shed tears over the opportunity given them to come that close to her.
Laurynās appearance at BBnZ Live was part of Afrochella pop-up store to, among others, sell merchandise for her āMiseducationā albumā 20th anniversary.
Afrochella is an annual festival that welcomes multi-generations around the world to celebrate African culture through art, fashion, food and the universal language, music.
Organised by Culture Management Group, the festival will return to Ghana at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra on December 29. This is the second time it is being held in Ghana and has an array of top artistes such as Daddy Lumba, Kwesi Arthur, King Promise, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Stonebwoy, Ko-Jo Cue, Shaker, among others, performing.
Reports suggested that there are some international stars heading to Ghana for the festival.
Though Lauryn Hill hasnāt been announced as one of the performers at Afrochella, her activity at BBnZ Live was free for Afrochella ticket holders.
She was also hosted by Ko-Jo Cue, Shaker, among stars, at the event powered by BBnZ Live.
Present also were Samini, Fuse ODG, Ama K. Abebrese, Nikki Samonas and Edem.
