Leila Djansi directed film, ‘Like Cotton Twines’, joins the list of amazing international films being streamed on American network, Netflix.
The 99-minutes drama about an American teacher in a Ghanaian village fighting religious and social traditions to prevent his most promising student from becoming a sex slave has been on Netflix since Sunday, April 2.
The film stars award-winning performances from actors; Jay Ellis, Ophelia Klenam Dzidzornu, Miranda Bailey, Yvonne Okoro, Adjetey Anang, Lucky E. Lawson, Mawuli Semevo, Brimah Watara and David Dontoh.
‘Like Cotton Twines’ made festival successes around the world. It was screened at Los Angeles Film Festival in June 2016 and also the Urbanworld Film Festival. It was also screened at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on November 23, among others.
