Lumba is not happy

The inundation of glowing tributes on social and traditional media after the demise of Daddy Lumba (DL) sums up what my good friend Nana Yaw Kesse posted hours ago… Stating, “… Obviously Lumba is loved by many.”
His fellow musician Dada KD, who also passed on a few weeks earlier, shared the same opinion-“…Lumber is loved by many”.
And to capture what he (DL) said in his Odo mensu track on the Sese wose album… ‘ Daddy S3 mete mani na mawu a medwa papa, s3de3 Odo y3me d3 sei, literally meaning I will be sad should I wake up from death.
Certainly, he is not and will not be happy if he should return to the land of the living today to witness the love shown by lovers of his music across the globe.
But I think the growing tributes and posting would have served as a healing balm if he had read all by himself before bidding us farewell (Makra mo).
We often times wait till one departs before we shower praises. But I have resolved not to tow that line- reason I post my beautiful wife Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum every now and then.
Let’s begin to eulogize people  while they are alive- Agya Koo Nimo,Obuaba JA Adofo (Black Chinese), Pat Thomas (Golden Voice) Smart Nkansah (Sunsum) Charles Amoah, Nana Acheampong (Lover boy) Kojo Antwi (Maestro) Amakye Dede (Abrante3), Shatta Walle, Sarkodie, Kwami Eugene, Wendy Shay among others have paid their dues and have to be duely recognized before they exit to eternity.
Personally, a lot of the songs he (DL) churned out, particularly his early works (Nom nsuo tw3n op3, Nky3nky3n wo nafe, me do was3m bebree, anidasuo woho ma obiaa, Baabia ne ha, Sika Asem, Ohia asem, Me mpaebo, Owuo ato me dunsin, Play boy etc in one way or the other shaped the early stages of my life.
Like the Good Book, good music shapes life, the love demonstrated so far is commendable, but he (3maa Kwadwo) would have been on cloud nine if he had read the messages by himself and not when he is gone.
