Mahama Doesn’t Fear God… Nana Fires

John Mahama and President Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo thinks former President Mahama does not have the fear of God in him.

Either than that, he says Mahama, who is the Presidential Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), will not make ‘lies’ and ‘deceit’ the fulcrum of his campaign.

“Are you not surprised Mr. Mahama is today saying he brought Free SHS?” the President fired at a mini rally at Tarkwa in the Tarkwa-Nsueam Constituency on the second day of his campaign tour of the Western Region, adding “so this man doesn’t fear God?”

He said, “Today, Mr. Mahama is going round making promises, saying I will do this and that, and I ask why couldn’t you do that when you were given the opportunity?” adding “everyone knows you didn’t do anything when you were there, reason Ghanaians voted you out.”

President Akufo-Addo said “this was the same man who said the implementation of Free SHS would collapse Ghana and described it as a dangerous policy and did everything possible to stop me from bringing Free SHS. So why then do you come back and say you brought it?

“His campaign has fallen flat; Mr. Mahama’s campaign has collapsed; it has collapsed in confusion, it has collapsed in misrepresentation, fabrication and now deceit.

“They think Ghanaians easily forget because Mr. Mahama himself has said Ghanaians have short memory; because he doesn’t have the slightest of respect for Ghanaians; it is tomorrow’s (today’s) week that we have to show Mahama whether we have short memory or not,” he stated.

President Akufo-Addo therefore asked Ghanaians to let Mahama know that they did not have short memories like he thought of them by voting against him.

Earlier, the President inaugurated an Astro turf in Sekondi where Andrew Egyapa Mercer was the Member of Parliament (MP) and the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate.

From there, he moved to Kwesimintsim where Dr. Prince Hamid Armah is the parliamentary candidate and addressed a mini rally where hordes of party supporters had gathered at the lorry station.

President Akufo-Addo was awed by the numbers that had gathered to meet him and urged them to translate the cheers into massive votes on December 7 by voting for the NPP, while cautioning against ‘skirt and blouse’ voting.

The President proceeded to Mpohor where John Sanie is the party’s parliamentary candidate, and even before his convoy could enter the Mpohor town, people had lined up along the streets of Apowa to wave and cheer the President with chants of ‘4More4 Nana’, and ‘No.1 on the ballot’.

President Akufo-Addo later addressed mini rallies in Ahanta West where Ebenezer Kojo Kum is the parliamentary candidate and Tarkwa-Nsuaem where George Mireku Duker is the parliamentary candidate.

He inaugurated a five-storey administration block which was 100% completed, and inspected works on a four-storey faculty block which was 60% completed, two-storey cafeteria block which was 80% completed and a two-storey eight flats of three bedrooms which was 52% completed at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) in Tarkwa.
