The Ministry of Roads and Highways has announced traffic diversions on the Accra-Tema Motorway due to the ongoing construction of a bridge that will connect Flowerpot to East Legon.
Motorists have been advised to be cautious while driving at the posted speed limit and follow traffic management signs put in place during this period.
According to the Ministry, “6 no. height restriction gantries (4.5 metres) will be positioned at different locations across the Accra-Tema Motorway prior to reaching the construction zone. Vehicles exceeding 4.5 metres in height will be redirected to exit the stretch through the designated route.”
The construction is part of the Flowerpot Interchange project.
The Ministry of Roads and Highways has apologized for any inconvenience that may be caused during the construction process.
Drivers are advised to plan their trips accordingly and take alternative routes wherever possible to avoid delays.
The Ministry has assured the public that the construction work will be completed as soon as possible to minimize any disruptions to traffic flow. Officials have also assured the public of their continuous updates on the progress of the construction work and any changes to the traffic flow.
