The late Bob pixel’s casket
The remains of award-winning photographer, Bob Pixel, was over the weekend laid to rest.
He was buried at the Ablekuma cemetery in Accra after his funeral service at his residence, also at Ablekuma, on Saturday.
A number of family, friends, colleagues and sympathisers gathered to pay their last respects to the iconic craftsman.
Bob, born Emmanuel Yeboah Bobbie, was a Ghanaian photographer of high repute. He died on Thursday, February 25, 2021 as a result of an unconfirmed ailment.
His death came as a shock to Ghana’s showbiz industry, partly because most people were not in the known of him being sick.
Also among the number of people who gathered to bid their last farewell to the departed soul were showbiz personalities.
Bob’s wife being carried away
Indeed, Bob was an exceptional photographer. He was admired for capturing great photos and had worked with some of the best showbiz personalities in Ghana. His works transcend just capturing glamorous photos. He also projected developmental team stories with his style of photography.
He produced documentaries that didn’t only promote Ghanaian tourism, but also put the brand Ghana in a positive light.
He had worked with major showbiz personalities like Yvonne Nelson, Efya Nocturnal, Nana Ama McBrown, Lydia Forson, Joe Mettle and many others.
