The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ledzokuku, Dr Bernard Oko-Boye, exhibited great arm wrestling skills to defeat Inspector Tony Mensah of the Ghana Police Service on Saturday in the K-Balm Armwrestling Challenge hosted by Kofikrom Pharmacy Ltd in La, Accra.
The lawmaker drew applause from the crowd, as he stunningly pulled off a remarkable victory over the policeman in a best of three arm battle.
Challenged athlete Haruna Tahiru emerged winner in the first of many community Armwrestling battles dubbed, the “Armwrestling Train.”
Tahiru defeated his contenders in the Men Over 100kg in the K-Balm Community Challenge.
Executives of the Armwrestling Federation, La Mantse Nii Tettey Kpobi Tslu, GOC President, Dr Oko Boye, Vincent Sowah Odoteye, Michael Appiah Boateng, Mikki Osei Berko, among others, graced the occasion.
Winners in various categories received trophies, medals, cash and other products as prizes. Kokomlemle will host the next edition.
