Movie Director Frank Rajah In Trouble Over 3years Debt

Nollywood actor, Gideon Okeke has called out popular Nigeria-Ghana filmmaker Frank Rajah for allegedly owing him about N500,000 (GHC 9,115.52)
According to Gideon, Frank refused to pay him after acting in his movie three years ago.


The actor, on Wednesday, took to his Instagram story to expose the director cum producer while he demanded his money.
“The filmmaker, Frank Rajah owes me 500k! I’ve been quiet for 3 years now. Some very important and influential people know this. But like Frank says: “Dem go beat me ni,” he wrote.

“If there were structures, this kneegar (guy) wouldn’t dare bully himself or try to outsmart me of my ‘SWEAT EQUITY. You’ve heard of horrible bosses in Nollywood yea? This kneegar (guy) is one,” he added.
Gideon’s outburst follows recent discussions on allegations of fraud, sexual harassment, lack of payment and ill-treatment meted out to crew members and extras in Nollywood.

He had earlier made headlines for saying actors are not paid well in Nollywood.
He described working conditions in Nollywood as ‘gruesomely slave-like citing instances where actors are fed with a budget of less than a thousand Naira (GHC18.23).

Until recent years, Frank used to be directing movies in Ghana. He directed a lot of movies for Abdul Salam’s Venus Film Production and also his productions.

He is known for movies such as Somewhere In Africa, The Game, Playboy, and Sisters At War among others. Frank who is a Nigerian moved back to his country to work there several years after working in Ghana. There are also indications that he is currently filming in Sierra Leone.
