MTN Launches Digital Challenge For Bloggers, Others

The management of MTN Ghana has introduced a new entertainment platform dubbed ‘MTN Shortz Challenge’ to push its digital evolution agenda for the country.

‘MTN Shortz’ is an innovative video challenge which is mostly accessed via MTN Play website. It showcases short films and themed clips produced to entertain.

According to the Acting Chief Marketing Officer (CEO) of MTN, Noel Kojo Ganson, the challenge is opened to content developers, animators, game developers, newspaper, movie houses, bloggers, television networks and others and is opened from August 8 to August 27, 2018.

“MTN Shortz is a platform to create opportunities for content developers among others to monetize their creation besides winners taking home mouthwatering prizes,” he explained.

Participants stand the chance of winning prizes up to GH¢50,000 with the categories comprising best video, games, podcast, animation with each wining GH¢ 5,000 while the top prize winner in the various categories such as video, games, animation and podcast each takes home GH¢15,000.

He indicated that participants can access their entry requirements online by visiting mtn.com.gh/shortz to register, adding that applicants must provide details of their name, team members, contact, email address and participating category.

For the consolation prizes, he indicated that best trending video on social media, comedy, shot on phone film and local language video each will receive GH¢2,000

“Things around us are fast responding to the digital revolution and we cannot remain consumers of other people’s works. It is in line with this that MTN Ghana as a leading telcos in the country is championing a course to encourage production of local content while economically empowering our people,” he stated.
