MUSIGA Women Congratulates Dr. Adeline Baidoo

The Women’s Desk of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has congratulated gospel musician Dr. Adeline Baidoo for receiving her PhD award in Arts and Culture from the University of Education, Winneba.

The 2nd Vice President of MUSIGA, Abena Ruthy, in an interview mentioned that following the establishment of the MUSIGA Women’s Desk with the mandate of empowering and supporting female musicians and industry professionals, “it is prudent we express our sincere congratulatory message to Dr. Adeline for her achievement, and this will also motivate other women in the field of music to achieve higher heights.”

Dr. Adeline Baidoo is a lecturer at Accra Technical University’s Fashion Design and Textile Studies Department. She completed her PhD in Arts and Culture from the University of Education, Winneba in 2023 and also obtained an MPhil in Arts and Culture from the same institution in 2019.

Also, she holds a BA in Art Education and a Diploma in Basic Education from the same university, which she obtained in 2014 and 2009 respectively. Again, she holds a Diploma in Competency Based Training (CBT) from the University of Education, Winneba – Kumasi Campus and a Certificate in Women Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy from Howard University (Centre for African Studies), which she obtained in 2019 and 2022 respectively. She is recognised for her exceptional contribution to the development of occupational standards for Competency Based Bead Jewellery and Textile Design Apprenticeship Training in Ghana.

She is the founder and President of the Ghana Women’s Forum. Aside from this, Dr. Adeline Baidoo is a musician.
