The organisers of the annual Campus Baze Awards 2018 have honoured the channel manager for Joy Prime, Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong, with the outstanding channel manager of the year award.
The award was in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the growth of the television industry, as well as the Ghana’s media landscape.
Joy Prime is a television channel on Multi TV.
In an interview with BEATWAVES, Nana Yaa Sarpong expressed her gratitude to the organisers for the award.
She said with this recognition, she would not lose track of what she seeks to champion, but would focus on reshaping the thinking of the youth to embrace their culture and arts on the continent.
Nana Yaa Sarpong’s long and distinguished career in television started back in 1999 and she has been consistent till date. The astute media professional will celebrate her 20 years of media practice in 2019.
Joy Prime was also recognised for its support of the industry and students’ activities.
The Campus Base (C-baze) Awards is an awards scheme designed and voted on by students to recognise, celebrate the hard work and dedication of various students and personalities who have excelled in their various endeavours.
