‘NDC Candidate Missing In Akuapem North’

In a shocking turn of events, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Akuapem North has seemingly abandoned his campaign, leaving the constituency without a visible opposition.

According to Nana Yirenkyi I, Apesemakehe of Mampong Akuapem, the NDC candidate has been absent from all community events, including funerals and the Awukudea festival, with only his posters remaining as a reminder of his candidacy.

Nana Yirenkyi I expressed disappointment in the NDC’s choice of candidate, expecting a more active and engaged representative from a strong opposition party.

He noted that previous NDC candidates had been more visible and connected with the community, making the current candidate’s absence all the more striking.

The Apesemakehene predicted that the NDC candidate would be remembered as one of the worst in Akuapem North’s history. Despite a significant NDC presence in the area, supporters are likely to withhold their votes from the parliamentary candidate, potentially impacting the party’s overall performance.

Sammi Awuku, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, appears to have emerged as the dominant force in the constituency, he stated.
