Mahama Ayariga
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) now owes state-owned transport company, Metro Mass Transit Limited, an amount of GH¢ 1.195.179.92.
According to a letter addressed to then National Organiser of the NDC, Kofi Adams, in August last year, management of Metro Mass Transit Limited, demanded the settlement of the debt.
The said letter was signed by Albert Adu-Boahen, who was at the time an Acting Managing Director of Metro Mass Transit Limited.
It revealed how several other letters had been sent to the NDC by the company and its lawyers to have the debts settled.
“As a result of the above state of affairs and consultations with your Party, we have resorted to dealing with individuals in your Party’s debtor list in our records,” it said.
