The spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Ibrahim Sannie Daara has labelled Sports Minister, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije as a liar and a hypocrite over claims that the local Black Stars’ recent international friendly against Japan took place without his outfit’s knowledge.
According to Daara, Vanderpuije has constantly fabricated falsehood about Nyantakyi’s administration whenever he gets the opportunity.
“It’s unfortunate it has gotten to this level. But absolute falsehood being circulated everywhere. In the said match…the Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi, the minister and officials of the ministry, discussed thoroughly the friendly.
“He [Vanderpuije] was the one who even requested Avram Grant to travel to Japan to monitor the boys. So if he didn’t know, how come he asked that Avram travel with the team to Japan? I am telling you, it’s all lies, lies, that’s what it is, lies. You can quote me on that,” he told Starr sports in an interview.
Meanwhile, some members of the Ghana FA believe the Sports minister is on a witch hunting agenda. –starrfmonline
