The Adansi-Akrofuom NPP Loyal Ladies at the weekend received a donation of hair dryers and cash from the Ashanti Regional chapter of the group for onward distribution to hairdressers in the area who lack the equipment.
The donation is to support the need response by the Loyal Ladies group to women in the district and to facilitate entrepreneurship and economically empower the people.
The Ashanti Regional Captain of the NPP Loyal Ladies, Efya Asieduah Obeng made the presentation on behalf of the association, and called for the items to be put to good use and for the purpose intended.
The Obuasi Director of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Bismark Akowuah, who donated an unspecified amount of money to the hairdressers, said he was touched by the benevolent activities of the Loyal Ladies to support women who are into entrepreneurship.
The Loyal Ladies Commander for Akrofuom Constituency, Leticia Amponsah, expressed gratitude and indicated that “this show of love will motivate us to be more loyal to the New Patriotic Party and the association.”
The NPP Youth Organiser for Akrofuom, Enoch K. Baah, who facilitated the donation, also called on other groups in the party to emulate the kind gesture of the NPP Loyal Ladies group.
He thanked the leaders of the Loyal Ladies in Akrofuom and Obuasi for the immense contributions to the growth of the NPP in both constituencies.
