Ghanaian rapper, Cannella, has officially announced a significant evolution in her brand identity, marking a new chapter in her artistic journey. Formerly known as Odeneho Cannella, the artiste will now operate simply under the name Cannella, effective immediately.
The name Odeneho Cannella was adopted in 2020 following the release of her song “Odeneho”, which received strong public reception and became a defining moment in her early career. After five years of artistic growth and self-discovery, the artiste is stepping forward with a renewed focus, confidence, and expanded creative vision.
“This transition represents my growth as a performer and my readiness to take on bigger roles in the music industry,” Cannella explains. “My sound, energy, and story have evolved, and my identity as an artiste must reflect that evolution. This is more than a name change—it is my renaissance.”
Cannella’s music is rooted in fearless expression, lyrical strength, and authenticity. Her entry into Ghana’s rap scene was marked by gritty bars and an uncompromising presence, earning her recognition for her sharp lyricism and dynamic delivery.
