Offer More Support To Needy Church Members – Brother Sammy

Controversial gospel musician, Brother Sammy, has alleged that some female church members are now turning to “hook-ups” to survive due to a lack of financial support from their churches.

Speaking on United Showbiz on October 26, 2024, he urged churches to offer more assistance to members facing hardships.

Brother Sammy pointed out that, while many churches claim high expenses, some have the financial means to help. He noted that longstanding churches often own their properties, eliminating rental costs, and argued that these churches could redirect funds to support their struggling congregants.

He highlighted that many church members, such as market vendors, faithfully contribute small offerings each week but see little assistance in return.

“Some of their members have been selling tomatoes at the markets for years and have been consistently giving their little 1 cedi as an offering but they are not getting any help,” he said.

Brother Sammy called for a shift in churches’ strategies for outreach and warned that failure to support members could lead to declining attendance. “One day, there will be nobody to attend,” he said.
