The Eighth Parliament of Ghana will reconvene today, Tuesday June 6, 2024 after weeks of recess.
The Second Meeting of the Third Session will commence with a new member officially joining the house.
Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin announced the resumption on Friday, May 19th, citing Standing Order 37 of the Parliament of Ghana.
The House will be welcoming its newest member, Eric Yaw Anim, who won the recent by-election in the Kumawu Constituency. His appointment fulfills the vacancy left by the passing of the former Member of Parliament.
Anim’s induction into the Parliament will be announced formally on Tuesday.
The Parliament of Ghana is expected to tackle various pressing issues in the coming months.
The resumption of Parliament’s activities is a significant milestone as the House continues to make progress towards the betterment of Ghana.
