Piesie Esther
One of Ghana’s female sensational gospel music icons, Piesie Esther, is gearing up for her mega concert dubbed ‘Waye Me Yie Anniversary Concert’ at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) this Sunday, November 6.
The concert being organised to celebrate her 20 years in the local gospel music industry has also been designed to serve as a gospel musical platform for local gospel artistes and music fans to meet and celebrate Jesus Christ.
It is also aimed at creating an avenue for music fans to meet and interact with their favourite music icons and ministers of God.
An initiative put together by Piesie Esther, the headline artiste and her management team, the event is expected to attract Christians and gospel music lovers from all walks of life.
Bound to be an event with great performances from an incredible line-up of celebrated Ghanaian gospel artistes, the organisers say the event will witness performances from gospel icons such as Tagoe Sisters, Obaapa Christy, Celestine Donkor, Moses OK, Ernest Opoku, Kofi Sarpong, Jack Alolome, Brother Sammy and a host of others.
BEATWAVES gathered that the rich experiences of all the performing artistes, coupled with their uncountable hits, made them the perfect choice for the show. It would be streamed live on all the social media platforms.
Gospel music fans who will attend the event should expect nothing but great performances from Piesie Esther as well as other gospel icons billed to rock the event.
Credited with five albums, Piesie Esther’s name became a household one in 2002 when she released her award-winning song titled ‘Apae Ama Me’, followed by ‘Me Nte Ase’ in 2008 and ‘Ziba Beko’ in 2011.
She recently released her latest single titled ‘Way3 Me Yie’ to entertain her fans who will be joining her in the celebration.
