Sammi Awuku’s decision to run for Parliament is not surprising, given his rich background in politics and public service.

A stalwart of the NPP, Awuku has been a key player in the party’s youth wing and has served in various capacities, including as the National Youth Organizer of the NPP.

As he sets his sights on Parliament, Awuku is expected to leverage his experience and expertise to serve the people of the Akropong constituency. His agenda is likely to focus on key areas such as education, healthcare, and economic development, which are critical to the growth and prosperity of the constituency.

Interestingly, Sammi Awuku’s candidacy has been touted as a boost to the NPP’s chances in the upcoming elections, particularly in the Eastern Region.

His popularity among the youth and his ability to connect with the grassroots are seen as major assets that could help the party retain the constituency.

Moreover, Sammi Awuku’s relationship with the party Presidential Candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is well-known.

As a key ally of the Dr Bawumia Campaign Team, Sammi Awuku is expected to push Bawumia’s agenda in Parliament, particularly in areas such as economic development and digitalization.

The NPP Flagbearer, Dr Bawumia’s agenda, which focuses on transforming Ghana’s economy through digitalization and innovation, is likely to be a key plank of Awuku’s campaign.
