Sarkodie For MTN Pulse Hangout

Celebrated Ghanaian rapper, songwriter and producer, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, is billed to perform at a musical event dubbed ‘MTN Pulse Hangout’ slated for this Saturday.

MTN Pulse Hangout, which is the only interactive music show in Ghana, is being organised by MTN to entertain its subscribers as well as Ghanaian music fans.

The event is expected to provide the platform for Sarkodie to interact with his fans.

It promises to be a mega one as Sarkodie will be entertaining music fans with hit songs like Pain Killer, U Go Kill Me, Happy Day, Ofeetso, Saa Okodie No, All Die Be Die, Fire Works, Don’t Cry, Bogga, Can’t Let It Go, Gboza, Almighty, Far Away, Overdose among others.

The event, BEATWAVES gathered, will be a warm-up for Sarkodie’s upcoming Rapperholic Concert slated for December 25.

Music lovers can enjoy the show by downloading the MTN Pulse App and streaming on all MTN social media platforms.

The previous editions of the Pulse Hangout have witnessed performances from Adina, Yaw Tog, Eno Barony, DopeNation, Kweku Flick, Kweku Darlington among others who shared some music secrets and how they rose to stardom.

Sarkodie’s contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for ‘Artiste of the Decade’.

Sarkodie is considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance.

He is often named as one of Africa’s greatest hip hop artistes. MTV Base ranked him 6th on its list of the Hottest African MC’s in 2014.

In 2015, Sarkodie was ranked the 19th ‘Most Influential Ghanaian’ by e.tv Ghana and AfricaRanking.com ranked him 3rd on its list of the ‘Top 10 African Rappers of 2015’.

In the same year, The Guardian listed him as one of its top five hip hop acts on the African continent.

He was announced the first winner of BET’s Best International Flow Artiste at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Having performed commendably on the Ghanaian music scene for the past decade, Sarkodie is recognised as one of Ghana’s successful music icons who has been consistent in his musical career.
