BBnZ Live artiste Shaker, born Elikplim Yao Atiemo, will be raising the flags of Ghana high in Texas, USA, as he is billed to perform at the South by South West (SXSW) Festival.
The South by South West (SXSW) is an annual American music festival held in Austin Texas on March 17.
The SXSW is dedicated to helping creative people achieve their goals. Founded in 1987 in Austin, Texas, SXSW is best known for its conference and festivals that celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film and music industries.
Shaker will be performing at the Sounds of Africa and Caribbean stage of the festival.
Another Ghanaian billed to perform at the event is Meshack, a young MC who is also looking to make his mark in the entertainment world.
Shaker and label mate Ko-Jo Cue bagged four nominations for the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with their ‘Pen & Paper’ single. Their categories include best rapper of the year, music video of the year and hip-hop song of the year.
