The Electoral Commission (EC) has urged prospective voters experiencing delays in using the 1422 SMS channel to exercise patience.
EC has appealed to those using the channel not to resend their ID numbers to the platform.
“We entreat our stakeholders using the service to be patient. We request stakeholders not to send their voter ID numbers multiple times as this will result in a longer queue and result in an additional airtime charge,” EC says in a statement.
“Stakeholders who have accessed the platform will receive their results shortly,” it assured.
It stated that “the engineers are working around the clock and should resolve the queue issues within an hour.
