President of Uncle T FC United, Isaac Tetteh (TT Brothers), remains positive about the Black Stars prospects in Cameroon, but on two conditions – determination and focus.
The team has come under severe bashing after their first two games, losing to Morocco and drawing against less fancied side Gabon on Friday.
Indeed, what has necessitated the bashing is the timings (83rd and 88th) for conceding goals in both matches.
Again, many are of the view that the coach’s late substitution has been the team’s bane.
Notwithstanding the team’s lacklustre performance, especially in the first two games, TT Brothers believes if they (Stars) put their act together, they will travel far in the competition.
To him, what the team needs is determination and focus to progress in the competition.
“Football defies logic, football is unpredictable, anything can happen in football, that is why I believe the Stars can win the competition if they esteem discipline and remain focused,” he said.
“It is a young team, if they should lift their game like we have seen countries like Equatorial Guinea, Sierra Leone, Gambia and others do, the prospects are bright, if they demonstrate a little bit of hunger, trust me they will travel far,” he added.
