The Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in Takoradi is set to host the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 manifesto launch, an event expected to draw thousands of party faithful and supporters from across the country. The manifesto promises to unveil transformative policies for Ghana’s development.
According to Issah Fusieni, Western Regional Communications Officer of the NPP, “Takoradi is ready to host over 3000 NPP party faithful and sympathizers. We believe the manifesto has great potential for the Region and the nation.”
Fusieni emphasized that strategic arrangements have been made to ensure a memorable event.
The NPP has set up an 11-member committee, chaired by Oboshie Sai-Coffie, to plan and execute the launch.
The party’s flags and colors adorn the principal streets of Takoradi, while pictures of the flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, are displayed prominently.
Fusieni explained that the region was chosen for the manifesto launch to secure a convincing win in the December 7 elections.
“We’re driving our machinery to the area to ensure victory,” he noted.
Okatakyie Amankwa Afrifa, Western Regional Secretary of NPP, revealed that the manifesto will present bold programs and policies to address economic and social challenges.
“Ghana has seen growth in all sectors during our tenure. We’re hopeful that our manifesto will ‘break the eight’ and continue providing bold solutions.”
Residents of Takoradi expressed excitement about hosting the event, expecting prudent policies that meet the needs of all Ghanaians.
“We’re eager to see the NPP’s plans for education, health, and roads,” said a resident.
The manifesto launch will be preceded by a health walk and mini rally, setting the stage for a momentous occasion that promises to shape Ghana’s development trajectory.
