The Principal Nursing Officer receiving the items from Chief Hamza Brimah as others look on
The Brimah family of Accra, yesterday, made a donation of toys to the Princess Marie Louise Hospital in Accra.
A delegation of the family was led to the facility by Chief Hamza Peregrino-Brimah VIII, supported by his elders, where they were received by the principal nursing officer Victoria Ganagodo — who expressed gratitude on behalf of the management of the hospital to the donors for the gesture.
She recalled how the facility received donations from well wishers.
Speaking on behalf of the family, A.R. Gomda said the gesture was part of prayer activities for Chief Brimah I and his wife, Madam Fatima Okpedu, from the Tabon family, both of who passed on in the early 1900s.
‘The gesture is intended to ask for God’s favour for the souls of our forebears. The Brimah family is one of the families steeped in the history of Accra’ he told the hosts at the hospital.
The chief and family members later visited the malnourished kid’s section of the facility for an interaction with the patients.
