Paa Kwesi Nduom
The presidential nominee of the Progressive Peoples’ Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has asked Ghanaians not to retain President John Mahama and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in the December 7 polls because of the government’s bad record.
According to him, the NDC and President Mahama have failed to deliver on the promises that won the party the 2012 elections.
He stated that Ghanaians risked doubling the misery and suffering visited on them by the current administration if President Mahama and his NDC government were given another term in office.
Dr Nduom, who was in the Western Region at the weekend for a campaign tour, stated this when he was addressing supporters of the PPP at Bogoso in the Prestea Huni-Valley District of the region.
“There is someone going around Ghana and he is asking Ghanaians that they should give him four more years. My friends, when you voted for the president you expected him to bring you something good,” he noted.
He continued, “The president told all Ghanaians ‘if you vote for me, I will create millions of jobs.’ Where are the jobs? When somebody promises and does not deliver, do they deserve four more years? No! Four more years?”
According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its leader, Nana Akufo-Addo as well as John Mahama and the NDC government had proven over the years that they have nothing different to offer Ghanaians.
He advised the Ghanaian electorate to choose leaders who have vision and good policies that can advance the development of the country.
Dr Nduom urged the people to judge him (Dr. Nduom) by his competence and job creation track record and vote massively for him and the PPP for improved living standards.
He pointed out that a vote for both the NDC and the NPP would be a waste, adding that Ghanaians should vote for the PPP for real change to be realized.
Dr Nduom said this year’s election would be determined by who is the best in creating jobs since unemployment has become the bane of the country’s economic growth.
