Upcoming afro pop/hiplife  artiste,  Emmanuel Owusu Boadu known in the music scene as Stegue, is hopeful of making it big on huge music platforms such as MTV Base, 4Syte, Aftown and others with his video for his song, Girl Like You

Stegue, who has a number of singles to his credit, said the video would break new grounds in the hiplife, afro pop and dancehall music video sector.

He is hopeful of being the latest addition to the list of artistes who are yet to make a major breakthrough onto the music scene. He is also one of the new artistes Ghana should keep a close eye on.

Since he dropped his latest hit single “Girls Like You” a couple of weeks ago, Stegue has been well known on the airwaves as a great singer.

According to his management team, the young artiste, who believes in doing something extraordinary to satisfy his numerous music fans has plans of releasing more hit singles this year.

Stegue in a chat with BEATWAVES expressed his happiness to work with local Ghanaian artistes including Stonebwoy if he is given the opportunity.

“There are a few music icons I am looking at working with. I have been in touch with a few of them who have expressed interest in doing collaborations with me,” he added.

He holds an HND in Hardware and Networking Engineering describes himself as “talented and passionate about music” adding that he does music because he loves it.

Stegue, who described Stonebwoy as his favourite artiste said “He inspires me. I like his style and I feel our style is similar too”.

The young artiste believes in his talent and abilities and so does not want to limit himself to just one genre of music. He believes he is a versatile artiste and can do any type of genre.

“I do all kinds [of music] and I’m easy with all of them. I have done songs that are reggae, dancehall, afro pop, afro beat, highlife and all of those”, stressed. He recently performed at the Ghana Telecom University’s Akwaaba Night where he thrilled fans there.

He has also shared the same stage with top artists such as King Promise, Kelvyn boy among others.
