Seven Nigerians believed to have entered the country through unapproved routes have been arrested at Tetegu, near Weija in Accra.
The suspects are Michael Osunde, Chigozie Madu, John Numagbo, Yohoma Fedelis, Joseph John, Lucky Joshua Sansa and one other only identified as Zhekabe.
They were travelling in a Range Rover car with Nigerian number plate but without any form of identification.
According to the police, the suspects had no passport or any travelling documents on them when they were busted.
The police suspects they are in the country to engage in fraudulent activities.
DSP Effia Tenge, Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer when contacted said a police patrol team intercepted the said Range Rover around 10 p.m. on Friday night at Tetegu.
She said interrogations revealed that the arrested Nigerians entered Ghana through unapproved points, adding “they have been handed over to the Weija Gbawe Municipal Immigration Officer for further action.”
