Ghanaian musician Black Sherif abruptly halted his performance at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) in Tarkwa after witnessing a disturbing incident where two fans got electrocuted at the event.

The incident, which left one fan in critical condition, led the artiste to leave the stage in protest, citing concerns over poor planning and inadequate safety measures at the venue.

According to reports, Black Sherif was in the middle of his performance when he noticed the two fans being electrocuted. Disturbed by what he saw and the apparent lack of proper safety protocols, he immediately stopped the show.

Despite efforts from the event organisers and pleas from fans who had waited up to six hours to see him perform, Black Sherif refused to continue and made his way directly to his car.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the visibly upset musician can be seen heading straight for his vehicle, ignoring calls from the audience and event staff. His actions have sparked a conversation about the importance of event safety, especially at large gatherings.

The incident has left fans concerned, both for the wellbeing of those injured and for the broader implications of such lapses in safety at entertainment events.

Black Sherif’s decision to walk off the stage has been met with mixed reactions, with some praising his stance on safety, while others expressed disappointment at not seeing the full performance they had eagerly anticipated.
