Kofi Kinaata
The motorcyclist and passenger involved in the collision with musician Kofi Kinaata’s vehicle are currently in critical condition. Kofi Kinaata himself disclosed this information, while refuting earlier reports that his driver had died in the accident.
Following the accident, rumours began circulating about fatalities, including claims that one of Kofi Kinaata’s drivers and the motorcycle passenger had died.
However, the musician has clarified that both he and his team are safe, stressing that only the motorcyclist and his passenger sustained severe injuries.
“No driver is dead. Those claiming a driver died should stop spreading that misinformation. We were in a Land Cruiser when a motorcycle with two passengers crossed our path. My team and I are okay, but the two people on the motorcycle are in a serious condition,” he explained.
He further added, “They weren’t wearing helmets, so this outcome is unfortunately expected.”
The accident occurred on Sunday, September 22, 2024, in Aboadze, Western Region, as Kofi Kinaata was en route to an event in Nkroful. His Land Cruiser V8 collided head-on with an oncoming motorcycle.
Kofi Kinaata, who escaped unhurt, shared the news on his official X page, assuring fans that he and his team were safe and in good health.
Since the incident, friends, colleagues, fans, and associates have expressed their support and wished him well.
