Ghanaian actress Kimberly Abena Pokua Oduro-Ahyia, better known by her stage name Abena Bambi, is among emerging actresses in Ghana today, has declared that she is working hard in the industry to become one of the most sought-after actresses in the film industry.
Abena Bambi, who captivated audiences as a receptionist in one the popular drama series Inspector Bediako, produced by Ivan Quashigah, has received a ton of accolades from fans.
“My appearance in Inspector Bediako movie received massive applause from followers I don’t even know, as well as from my family which gives me hope to pursue more movie roles in the future,” she said.
While acknowledging that the Ghanaian film sector has faced challenges, Abena Bambi remains optimistic.
“Although the movie industry isn’t as vibrant as it once was, a lot of effort is being put into revamping it, and I am more than ready to dedicate my craft and time to help it thrive once again,” she stated.
The 24 year old Abena Bambi is already making waves as a brand influencer, model, and content creator.
After completing her Senior High School (SHS) education at Benkum Senior High School in 2016, she pursued her passion for storytelling at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) where she earned a BFA in Broadcast Journalism.
He modeling journey includes freelance work and video vixen projects before joining Prime Model Management.
Currently she represents several local brands, including Akumanyi Herbal, Verve Velvet, Ridge Condos, Odwira Festival, and Eat Avenue.
“I have a future in the movie industry, and I’m poised to be among the A-list movie icons in the coming years—just watch me!” she declared.
