The organisers of the second edition of Okere Mountain Fest (Okere Fest 2019) yesterday disclosed that over 3,000 festival goers are expected to attend the three-day event which kicks off this Saturday.
The festival, which will showcase the rich Ghanaian culture, is being organised under the auspices of the Okere District Assembly to promote the tourism potential of the district.
Tour sites in the district include the legacies of renowned fetish priest Okomfo Anokye, Asenema Water Falls and other attractions in the district.
The Asenema Waterfalls is found in a thick forest which has been adopted by the Forestry Commission.
The organisers disclosed that invitations have also been extended to people from the Diaspora who are in the country for this year’s PANAFEST/Emancipation Day celebration to attend the event.
The festival is also expected to attract a number of personalities, including religious leaders, chiefs and ministers of state.
Hiplife artistes such as Wendy Shay, Eno, Faya, Tulenkey, Harmatan and Article Wan have been invited to thrill patrons at the event.
