The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has traveled to the United Kingdom to participate in the 8th UK-Ghana Business Council meeting and the 3rd edition of the Ghana Investment and Opportunities Summit.
These meetings have been organized by the Ghana High Commission, UK, and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
As co-chair of the UK-Ghana Business Council, Dr. Bawumia will lead a team of government officials and the private sector to discuss development cooperation between Ghana and the United Kingdom.
Previous UK-Ghana Business Council meetings have resulted in significant infrastructure projects such as the Kumasi International Airport, Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange Phase II, and the Tamale International Airport.
At the Ghana Investment and Opportunities Summit, Dr. Bawumia will lead a delegation of industry captains and business leaders to showcase why Ghana should be the top choice for investors considering doing business in Africa.
Dr. Bawumia is scheduled to return to Ghana on Sunday, 11th June 2023.
