Two of the country’s finest radio DJs, DJ Candy Man and Billy Ocean, made history when they thrilled music fans at the December edition of the ‘Dance Da Nite’.
Held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra last Friday, the event attracted a large number of matured old school music lovers from all walks of life.
Organized by Oceans TV in partnership with Alisa Hotel, the event serves as a social medium that allows music fans from different backgrounds to network and mingle with their friends and loved ones.
It is always the perfect party grounds for business personalities and old school music lovers to reminisce those days and it is the only avenue where people get the unlimited opportunity to unwind and have fun after a stressful month.
Disc Jockeys (DJs) Candy Man of Asaase Fm and Billy Ocean of Oceans TV were fantastic on the night dishing classic upon classic to an audience that yearned for more.
For many fans of ‘Dance Da Nite’, it was a time to relive the memories of the 80s and beyond with songs from the Kool & the Gangs, Anita Baker, Madonna, Heavy D and The Boyz, Whispers, Dynasty, SOS Band, Brass Construction among others.
The DJs knew what old school music lovers wanted and they served them with hit songs from the glorious era.
As the songs oozed out of the large speakers at the venue, patrons could not hold back and they trickled onto the dance floor to rekindle a youthful glory.
Songs such as ‘Rhythm of the Night’, ‘All Night Long’, ‘Electric Slide’, ‘I Want To Be Rich’, awoke the dancing nerves of music lovers who found it very difficult to resist the dancing temptations the night had to offer.
It was a happy occasion as there were plenty to eat and drink and fans could be seen cheerfully socializing with each other.
