GTA Honours Papaye Boss

The Group Chairman of Papaye Fast Food, Samir Kalmoni, has been conferred with honorary award at the 2023 edition of the National Tourism Awards, on the theme “Celebrating 50 years of Ghana’s tourism excellence”.

Papaye Fast Food, established in 1991, is one of Ghana’s leading fast food company, and has become a household name in the country.

Over the years, it has kept faith with its strategy of preparing fast food using recipes designed by the company, thereby giving Papaye cuisine a unique flavour. In all of its eight branches, Papaye fills in about 6,000 orders daily for its customers.

The event, organised by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), honoured over twenty-five personalities in various fields of business with plaques and citations.

Mr. Samir Kalmoni was honoured with tourism development award, with a citation accompanying his award highlighting the pivotal role played by his outfit in the thriving tourism industry.

The Group CEO of Papaye, Mr. Divine Kwadwo Asiedu, who graced the event, received the award on behalf of the Group Chairman of Papaye Fast Food.

The GTA expressed its pleasure in presenting the honorary award to Mr. Samir Kalmoni, acknowledging his company’s efforts in propelling the tourism sector forward.

The event, which also marked the golden jubilee of the Ghana Tourism Authority, brought together some government dignitaries, players in the tourism sector among several others.
