Ken Agyapong Engages Ex-MMDCEs

Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong last Thursday held a meeting with former Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) at his private office in Accra.

Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE indicates that Mr. Agyapong, during the meeting held behind closed doors, shared part of his vision which includes job creation with participants.

He indicated that apart from creating a number of businesses across the country which employs a large number of people, his steel factory which is at the completion stage will also offer additional 1,000 jobs to many Ghanaians.

He, therefore, urged them to assess him based on those practical initiatives aimed at addressing some of the problems facing the country rather than how he is sometimes negatively portrayed in the media.

He also promised to help reduce the power wielded by the central government, which often prevent MMDCEs from initiating projects that directly addresses the challenges facing their respective municipalities and districts.

The former MMDCEs described Mr. Agyapong as a leader who is capable of utilising his business acumen, as well as experience in politics, and therefore assured him of their support to help transform the economy.
