Mollie Angela Eshun
Mollie Angela Eshun, 19-year-old student of the University of Mines and Technology, has been crowned winner of Miss Cocoa Ghana 2022 held at the Exopa Burg -Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
Twelve ladies took part in the pageant, each of them dazzling the audience and the judges with their beauty and aptitude.
From the beginning of the show, it was obvious Mollie was going to carry the day as she beat eleven other beautiful, intelligent and clever young ladies for the coveted crown.
Most of the applause from the cheering crowd went in her favour as she stood out after she performed creditably during the show.
At the end of several grilling rounds and exhibition of talent, Mollie Eshun was crowned queen for the night after she impressed the judges with her elegance and smartness.
All the contestants put up a good show. They all exhibited various talents at the event themed “Sustaining Cocoa Production In Ghana Through Beauty Pageantry.”
For her prize, Mollie took home the crown, cash, and other benefits which include products from sponsors.
Millicent Hilda, 24-year-old student of the University of Ghana and Mercy Ofosu, a pupil-teacher and entrepreneur, earned the first and second runners-up positions respectively, after putting up stellar performances.
Speaking at the event, Creative Director of Model TV Network and Top Model Pageant, Kwesi Fenny Darlington, who is also the organiser of Miss Cocoa Ghana, said the newly crowned queen will play an advocacy role in collaboration with COCOBOD to help in the sustainability of cocoa production in the country. He urged the winners to strive hard for excellence in order to make an impact in the cocoa sector as the world waits to celebrate their wins.
The event was graced by Naa Dedei Botchwey, winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2020, Maxbel Coleman of Kantanka TV, Gladstone Nditsi, CEO of Heritage of Africa and Ghana Arts and Culture Awards (GACA) among others.
