The leadership of Teamwork of Africa Power International, a well recognized cultural group, has embarked on an educational campaign tour to educate Ghanaians on the country’s culture.
The goal of the educational tour was to help young people discover their abilities and find work.
The tour took the cultural group to some selected educational institutions some of the nation’s regional capitals where the members of the group entertained cultural music fans with their stage performances.
Some of the activities held during the tour include training sessions on Ghanaian music, dancing, and culture for participants.
To improve participants’ understanding of both traditional and modern African artistic manifestations, a variety of topics in African traditional and popular culture, philosophy, and visual and performing arts were discussed.
Participants were taught how to play some of the traditional musical instruments used in ethnic music and dance, according to the group’s head.
The group during the tour delighted cultural music fans with new dances from their large repertoire of traditional and choreographed dance pieces.
The group used its stage performances to also unveil the entire members of the group.
Made up of talented and seasoned performers, such as Derrick Kwadwo Antwi (Leader), Linda Osei Bonsu, Wisdom Adibo, Selasie Kwaku, Stephen Donkor, Dorcas Anokye, Selorm Sarbah among others, the group has over the past years been creating waves with magnificent and powerful performances.
It has delighted enthusiastic crowds in several cities and towns in the country with performances from their large repertoire of traditional and choreography dance pieces.
Noted for its highly expressive and vigorous dance pieces that reflect Ghanaian and African culture, the group has been in existence for the past two decades.
